Yes I do believe it is very important to remember the soldier. I believe it is important because they died for the future generation, I think it would be a shame if they are watching our generation and thinking" I died for theses ingrates". How much time does it take out of your day to just simply care. Simply be respectful of those deserving it and be grateful.
The assembly was well thought out and showed much respect to our special guessed veteran who had fought in the war. It is important to remember the soldiers that fought in that war because they either gave up there life and or risked there life so that we could live in peace and not war, so that we wouldn't have to live in danger and fear. And yes remembrance day is relevant to our generation because there are still wars going on in other countries and it shows us how lucky we are to be living in a country that doesn't have to deal with wars and that we don't have to live in fear and that we can feel safe in Canada because of them. Another reason is because it's a big part of our history and history itself, and it shows that we are all equal because they didn't just fight for there own freedom, but they fought for our freedom and the freedom for generations to come. It is and will always be a big part of history and something that will never be forgotten.
Remembrance day is an important day . And during the assembly everyone thought about the people who fought for us and saved us . It's amazing how three grades of students can be silent and respect a former soldier, who came during his time to tell us his story and an very important story indeed. It's important to remember those soldiers because they had put their lives in danger to protect millions of people and fight for what they believe in . And we should at least respect these soldiers and remember them . Remembrance day is relevant for are generation because if we didn't have soldiers fighting for us, we would probably not exist without their help.
Remembrance day is still very important because we need to remember the people that risked their loves for us to keep us standing here today. The assembly was a perfect representation of what remembrance day is all about.If it weren't for these soldiers we would not be in a good situation and they fought to give us freedom and hope in the world but some sadly didn't make it during this process they where so brave and are very special to us.
Remembering soldiers that died to have a great generation of a free contrie that they had to sacrifice there lives for I think we take for granted what they have created for us so i totally agree that remembering them is relevant for us and for anyone that lives in this great contrie.
My opinion on the assembly was that it was a great assembly. It made us remember all the things that our soldiers did for this country. Even when the old man spoke, it made me think how the war was and what the hard things they had t do for Canada. I think it is very important to remember the soldiers because they did so much for us. They risked their lives everyday they were in the field for us. I don't know how muich we can thank them for that. Poppies are very important because you show the respect you have for them and everything they've done for us. I think that Rememberance Day is still relevant in our generation becasue it is importan to refelct on what the soldiers have done for Canada.

I found the assembly very heartwarming. It was well organized except for the part that we all had to sit on the ground. But other then that it was a beautiful assembly. It's important to rememeber the soldiers who fought for us and our country. They could have stayed home and lived and stay alive and be with their family and not risk their lives but they went out to go and fight for us we need to remember the fact that they did this for us and without them today our world would have probably been messed up and corrupted. It was important to remember the soldiers who fought for us before but it still is to this day and hopefully it Will forever and ever because we are alive here today thanks to them!.

It is important to remember and respect the soldiers who died in the war because they gave their lives to give us freedom. If they didn't do this, we won't have the freedom like we have now. Our future generations should remember and respect this day and the soldiers that had died for us because they gave us freedom that we live in now.

My favorite part of the assembly was when the marine spoke about his time in the Korean war, I thought it was quite interesting and I went home to look up more on war veterans and their stories. I think we should remember soldiers by their bravery and their trust in each other, for example, during the push on Vimy, all the soldiers lives where put into the hands of the mortar teams. They trusted the mortar teams no to hit them, they trusted them with there lives and that's quite a brave feat. -Marcus
